On Hold
About Tye --- I'm being adopted tomorrow!
Tye is just a little ray of sunshine! He is always in a happy mood and has a very bubbly and outgoing personality. This loveable goofball just adores people and is so pleased to sit by your feet of an evening. He is very friendly and playful with other dogs and wants to make friends with every dog (and human) he sees.
He is a bit taller than an English Staffy and has a partial ridge down his back, but he is smaller than a Ridgeback at just 26 kg of solid muscle! Due to his high energy level, he is more suited to play with other very active dogs. He is sweet and gentle with a couple of puppies he sometimes shares a play yard with, but he much prefers a rollicking game of full-contact chasey and wrestling.
Tye needs a home with an active lifestyle that includes daily walks and regular ball-fetching sessions. He comes when he is called, sits, and (sometimes) shakes paw. He is only a year old and therefore he still acts like a big bouncy puppy. He is learning not to leap on people to try and kiss their faces. He is very responsive to being told "no" and he checks in often with his handler when walking or playing, he's just got boundless enthusiasm and energy.
Tye is fostered in Wagga Wagga, but transport can be arranged - just ask us to obtain a quote for you when you submit your application. NOTE: Due to being half Staffy, we will not adopt him to residents of Victoria due to BSL.
Adoption details
Our goal is to match pets' personalities and exercise/training requirements with people whose lifestyle they are best suited to. This reduces the chances of the pet winding up in a pound again. Please don't feel offended by our adoption process, it is for everyone's and every animal's benefit:
1. Submit application for adoption (obtain at Best Friends Pet Rescue website)
2. Homechecks are conducted on short-listed approved applicant(s)
3. Best match selected according to the pet's personality and needs
4. Successful applicant notified, and must place holding deposit while transport/pickup arrangements made
5. Adoption transaction completed
