About Bangles - Special Needs
Bangles is a gorgeous, happy, playful little pup who brings a smile to the face of everyone who meets her! She was born in care, part of a litter of 4 and her mum and siblings have all gone on to find their forever homes.
Bangles is great with other dogs and cats and is looking for a predominately indoor home where someone is around most of the day.
Bangles was born with a spinal deformity. We've done x-rays and consulted with our vets and a specialist and the decision has been made not to attempt any kind of surgery on her spine, as this could potentially make things worse. The only indication there is anything wrong with Bangles is a little swagger in her back end when she walks! She runs and plays and does everything a normal puppy does, but there is always going to be a chance that her deformity could cause issues for her later in life.
We are looking for a very special home for Bangles, a home that understands that she is 'special' and that there are no guarantees about her future in relation to her spinal deformity. We have of course considered keeping her permanently in care, but don't feel this is fair to a puppy who doesn't even know there is anything wrong with her. As far as she is concerned, she is a normal little puppy who loves to do all the things other puppies do!
Bangles' forever home will need to be a single story house, as we feel that not climbing stairs on a regular basis would be in her best interests, but she's by no means a pup that needs to be wrapped in cotton wool! As long as her family is conscious of her condition and doesn't allow her to do silly things like jump from heights or have things resting on her back, she can be treated just like any other little bundle of cute!
If you'd like to know more about Bangles, we'd ask that you first email for, and complete an adoption questionnaire to see if your home is potentially suitable for her and then we can chat to you further about her condition.
Bangles is in care in Langwarrin.
Medical notes
Bangles has a spinal deformity. At the moment, it doesn't cause her any problems, but there is no way of knowing if this will change in the future.
Bangles goes to her new home desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and flea and worm treated
