About Libby
Libby and her mate, Soxy, were rescued from a desperate situation after their owner had passed away just recently. All the other greyhounds where they were had been rehomed but Libby and Soxy were left almost to fend for themselves and let out to run the streets after the landlord of the property had locked out relatives. The situation was looking very grim for them both. They were in desperate need of immediate help when Friends of the Hound came to the rescue and took the two girls into care after a kind neighbour had been trying to care for them and find them homes but time was running out quickly for them. A relative tried to claim Libby back and wanted continue to "use" her as a brood bitch but life is now looking up for these two girls. Libby loves nothing more than to be loved and hugged and tucked into bed at night. She will reward you every time with a kiss and a look in her eyes that will melt your heart saying "thankyou". Libby is currently in foster care with other Greyhounds and a kelpie. Libby loves going in the car and travels very well. If the back of the car is left open you will often find her curled up in the back enjoying the warmth on a winter's day. Like any hound, she loves to get out for a walk and "smell the roses" and have a paddle by the water. Even though Libby is a little older and will turn 8 years in November, don't be fooled she still has plenty of energy for fun and games and loves to play with an old soccer ball and bounce around the yard. So please think about offering Libby a forever home so she can be loved and hugged and enjoy the best years of her life.
