About Betsy
Friends of the Hound came to the rescue of Betsy and her two female friends, Mary and Lady, after they were to be brought into a vet clinic to be euthanased. A Vet nurse at the clinic put out a desperate plea for help to Friends of the Hound for these three girls. Their time was limited but the search was on to find the girls foster carers. Thank goodness they are all now safe and in care in the Newcastle region. Betsy is currently in foster care with other foster and pet greyhounds and a kelpie and has no problem getting on with them all. Betsy loves getting out and about for a walk and is very good on a lead. She will walk next to you at a steady pace without pulling. She loves to go for a ride in the car and gets excited when she hears the keys rattling in hope of an impending car trip. She does travel well especially if she can feel the breeze and fresh air in her cheeks as she travels. Betsy just loves to be hugged and snuggled up on the couch. She loves getting a kiss and tucked in at night with her blankie and doesn't generally move till morning. Don't be fooled by Betsy's greying muzzle, she is full of life and energy and loves a game chasing the soccerball. But you will be drawn in by Betsy's beautiful brown eyes. They are full of love and thanks. Betsy is looking forward to wonderful life in a loving forever home where she can be loved and hugged and spoilt to the moon and back. Is this your home Betsy is waiting for?
