Jack

Hi, my name is Jack and I'm 7 years old.

My story is a very sad one, tied by a rope to the same place day and night at a rented farmhouse, seemingly not let off, with a water bucket too tall for me to reach and always placed so that as I moved, the rope tipped it over.

The owner of the property became very concerned at the lack of care and during a cyclone contacted the person and requested that I be put in a shed out of the weather. But the next day she found me, still in the same place on the bare ground, no shelter, followed by another visit where I was found tangled up in the rope, a can of baked beans tipped on the ground, impossible to get to.

Eventually the woman from the property fled and abandoned myself and a kitten and a pup to fend for ourselves. Our benefactor already has 3 dogs and is unable to take me although she would like to because I am such a loving happy dog, despite being treated so appallingly. She managed to find homes for my friends and thankfully contacted Stafford Rescue for me. I will be there very soon and I'm told I will get treated like a king with a warm coat, warm beds with lots of bedding and good food.

I am a very friendly boy and have now been taught to sit to receive my food and hop onto my bed when requested. I need a bit more training as no-one has ever taken notice of me before. I love travelling in the back of the ute & will also sit quietly in the car.

I am hoping I can get something they call adopted and have a real forever home where I get treated like one of the family and have nothing but kindness sent my way for the rest of my life. Is there someone out there who can make my dream a reality ?
