About Rocky
Hi, my name is Rocky and I'm a beautiful looking boy of 6 years of age with pedigree papers. I am house trained and would make an awesome family member for someone who is home a lot and has plenty of time to take me on walks, play ball with me (one of my favourite pastimes!) and have me inside with them where I can be included in your day to day activities.
I live with three young children aged from one to four and love them very much. I let them hand feed me, sit on me and love to play with them. Unfortunately my dad works long hours and mum works part time plus has so many commitments with the kids, she is finding it impossible to take me for walks and give me the attention I need. Because of this a year ago I was sent to live with another family member with 2 other dogs. I got on well with the beagle but the shar pei and I had issues which could be simply that both of us are strong breeds and it’s a dominance thing. However we don’t get on so I came back home and I am so pleased about being back here that I want to be either with mum or the kids 100% of the time and because this is impossible I am becoming increasingly anxious and fret when I have to be alone.
This has become a very stressful situation for everyone and I really need to find a new forever home urgently where I can get my confidence back and feel secure again. At the moment I get a bit excited when I meet strangers but I am having a rough time and will soon settle down again into the placid boy that I am.
I am a bit of a couch potato and love to snuggle up to you wherever you are sitting, laze in front of the fire, or sleep in the sunshine. \ I love travelling in the car, going on walks and if you include me in whatever you do I will be in doggie heaven.
I don’t like cats and need a single dog home so please don’t ring and enquire if you are in either of those situations as it’s a waste of everyone’s time.
