About Ned (On Trial 20/11/13)
Ned is an affectionate, 3yo, purebred Red Australian Cattle Dog. He is super friendly and loves everyone. He is very obedient and knows sit, stay and where to go when its bed time. He often takes himself to his bed when he's ready. He absolutely loves attention in the form of pats and cuddles and sometimes also likes to go and chill out on his own.
Ned is medium sized and gets along well with our other young dogs. He loves his food. He is toilet trained and we have found he has been really easy to train and always aims to please. He especially loves his human pals. Ned is happy playing outside while we are not home and is inside when we are home and sleeps inside. He loves to snuggle into his bed and might come and let you know that he wants you to tuck him in. He is quite a funny boy and he has bought a lot of joy to our household. He would be best suited to a home with a backyard and an active person or family who will take him for walks. He LOVES going for walks and is really good on a lead although he does still pull a little bit, he needs a walk daily or needs to have plenty of room to run around and play to satisfy his energy levels. He loves to play fetch and will play for hours if you let him! We think he would be better off with children aged 10 and above as he gets excited and may jump up to you for cuddles without knowing his full strength. He is really friendly to other humans and dogs. Ned is fine with our dog friendly cat.
Neddy has a scar on the left side of his face, we are not sure what from but we see it as a sad sign from his previous life. He is a beautiful young boy who may have had a bit of a rough time in his past and now deserves a chance for a great life. He has a lovely nature and a lot of love to give!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
