Grady *On Trial in His New Home*

*GRADY IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES PLEASE* Meet Grady, he’s a super friendly pup who puts 110% enthusiasm into everything he does, from greetings at the door to growling to himself while trying to get that last bit of marrow out of a bone! He’s looking for a loving forever home who will continue with his training so he grows up to have lovely manners; will it be with you?

Gorgeous Grady was recently rescued from our local pound, where he ended up through no fault of his own. He was born with less than half a tail which he can still wag like crazy when he’s happy which is pretty much all the time!

From his foster carer:
Grady is an affectionate pup who loves his food, and is responding well to training where food is the reward. \ He is getting very good at sit, but still needs some work at stay (as you can see from the photos, he has trouble staying when you bend down to his level or back too far away, so most photos are from above!). He is also learning to take his rewards and treats gently (because he just wants them sooooo badly!). \ Being so happy and friendly all the time, he jumps up a bit at the moment, but he is learning not to do that because he will grow up to be a big dog. He is great with other dogs, and isn't phased by cats - although he can be annoying to them at times, simply because of his enthusiasm and he doesn't quite understand yet that some cats don't want to be friends with dogs! He is also working at his toilet training, and is learning to sleep inside at night without accidents. \ He is very inquisitive, and loves to follow you around to see what you are doing, and likes to be part of the action. He loves playing tug-o-war, and he’s always up for some rough and tumble with our young Labrador – he also reacts well to our female Terrier when she tells him off for getting in her face! Grady is getting used to travelling in the car as well as walking on a lead.

Grady would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle in a home where he’ll receive ongoing socialisation as well as training with either a doggie companion to learn from or on his own, so long so he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while he’s a puppy as he may get bored and up to mischief. \ Daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on, toys to play with and loads of love will make him very happy indeed! .
