Jack (Cat Friendly)

Jack is a gentle timid boy who tested cat friendly. It is his 3rd birthday today and lucky for him, he gets to celebrate in foster with Christine and Ian plus whippet Sophie.

Christine writes:

“Jack is a black glossy boy with some white toes and a splash of white on his chest. Jack has been in foster care for one week now. He is starting to gain confidence and looks a little happier. At first he avoided our eyes and tried to keep out of the way, spending most of his time on his bed. Now he has begun to play with our whippet and with a squeaky hamburger. His tail is curving upwards and he has begun to wag.

He treats our cat with utmost respect, they bump noses from time to time, but he rarely approaches her. He is our fourth greyhound in foster and he is the most cat friendly so far. We leave them alone together with total confidence. He enjoys trying to fit himself into the cat bed when it is vacant too.

As well as our cat and our whippet, Jack has enjoyed the company of a King Charles spaniel who spent the weekend here. He has walked with pet greyhounds and seemed to enjoy their company too. Jack is not possessive or aggressive with is food; he would hand it over to anyone who asked. We know that he came from racing kennels and that ours is the first home that he has stayed in. There have been no toilet accidents at all and when he needs to go out he makes plenty of noise at the door. Greyhounds are such clean dogs and house training seems to come naturally to them.

Jack enjoys being outdoors, sniffing the breezes and taking a walk. We hope he can find a quiet home with humans, dogs and cats who will love him. He is a delight to have in our home.
