About Oscar
Oscar and his friend, Leo, were rescued from a pound. They are such a gorgeous and special pair of boys. Leo is older than Oscar, but only by a little, and they still have lots of growing to do.We think they came from a breeder, so it's a mystery how they ended up on death row.
Leo has the most gorgeous nature or all the guinea pigs at our shelter. He races over for treats, and will happily sit there and let you pat him. A big snuggle-pot, he is so calm and gentle.Although Leo is only young, he has the contemplative nature of a much older guinea pig, and maybe it's to compensate for his buddy's exhuberance. Oscar is a little pocket rocket, and just loves to play and popcorn.
These piggies were found and rescued together, so we'd like to see them adopted into the same home. Please only apply if you'd like to bring both into your family. Leo shows a pretty rough start to life, he is recovering from mites and regrowing all his hair on his belly, and has the start to a serious case of bumblefoot. He will fully recover, but will always need to be housed on soft bedding, like every guinea pig. It's so lucky he was rescued in time, because had he remained on hard, wire flooring any longer, his inflammed paws would have gotten infected.
Very special homes need only apply :)
