About Sweetie Pie
Sweetie Pie is one of eight Shih Tzu X that we believe came from a backyard breeder. Sweetie Pie and her mates were found wandering the streets of Bankstown and soon found themselves impounded so PAWS took all eight dogs. They were all emaciated (especially the females) so we are building them up for surgery and, once that is done, they will all be ready to start their new lives with families who will love them and look after them properly. Sweetie Pie is now ready to go to a new home as she has had all of her routine vet work done. Sweetie Pie is in foster care with four other small dogs and was timid to begin with but now has all the confidence in the world with her foster family and their dogs. Sweetie Pie loves to play with toys and cuddles up to her human and likes to blissfully nuzzle her little head into your neck. In fact the more cuddles she gets the better she likes it! Sweetie Pie loves her foster carer's small, very gentle grandchildren and, when they sit on the floor with her, she puts her front paws on their shoulders and looks straight into their eyes pleading for cuddles. They reciprocate very gently and she soon shuts her eyes and goes to sleep. Sweetie Pie?s ideal home will be with a family who have gentle children and another small dog for company if they go out to work each day but a retired couple or single person would also suit her. Sweetie Pie has a coat that will grow and require ongoing maintenance to keep it looking lovely. She is house trained providing she has outdoor access and, as Sweetie Pie loves to snuggle up on the couch during the day if her carer is out, indoor access via a doggy door or similar is required.
