About Winston
Winston is a cheeky and affectionate designer Puggle.
Here are some more details about him:
- Other dogs?
Great with other dogs and super child friendly, Winston is a real charmer.
- Cats?
He barks at them. He has lived with chickens without hurting them.
- Kids?
Fantastic. This ''goof ball' of fun loves to ''tumble'' with the kids in the back yard. He is not aggressive.
- Size?
Around 20 kgs.
- Activity level / exercise requirements ?
He is not a high energy dog but he is quite exuberant. He loves his human friends and is also a ''social butterfly'' at the park. He is playful and has a very sweet natured temperament. Winston needs regular daily exercise. He loves the beach and adores the water.
- Does the dog need company during the day?
Winston will not suit a home where he is alone for long periods of time. He needs either people or another dog for company otherwise he will be mischievous.
- Toilet Trained?
Yes
- The dog’s likes / dislikes ?
He is a real beach dude !! He also loves squeaky toys and adventures at the park. More than anything he loves affection and attention. He also loves sleeping in the sun. He does not like being ignored or a boring environment.
- Ideal home ?
He would suit a home where he gets lots of attention. He will be fine if you work full time as long as there is another dog to keep him company - napping in the sun during the day. He will insist on getting attention, making sure he gets pats and cuddles by looking at you with his adorable face and sitting by your feet until you give in. Winston needs to be a central focus of your life.
- GENERALLY
He is extremely intelligent and easy to train. He needs a home where he has lots of mental and physical stimulation. He would not suit a first time dog owner. He needs a confident but kind owner who will make sure Winston understand his boundaries, otherwise he will ‘’rule the roost’’.

Adoption details
We strongly recommend you read the dogs' profile carefully as everything we know about the dog/s is listed.
If you are interested in a dog we invite you to submit an application form so we can learn more about your circumstances. This is to ensure we match the right dog to the best home. (one form per family - not per dog) http://www.dogadoption.org.au/adoption---expression-of-interest.html
This is for the benefit of both the dog and the potential new owner/s. It also saves time and uses limited resources more effectively.
Once the essential criteria is confirmed we put you in touch with the carer for a more detailed chat with a view of meeting the dog/s.
If you decide to proceed with the adoption we make a time for a house check.
The adoption fee is then paid (there is a 2 week cooling off period.) Please note we do not usually allow trials.
Foster carers are also able to adopt foster dogs once approved.
