Macy

Macy is in foster. She is still available for adoption.

Macy is only a pup and has her whole life ahead of her. She’s a little bewildered and afraid having found herself abandoned and her world turned upside down.

Coaxing her out of her kennel was eventually a success, however she was more keen to return to the kennel than spend time on the grassed area with us today. She feels safe and secure in the kennel environment and it’s a very sad situation to see her like this. She likes people and doesn’t have mean bone in her body; it’s just her fear holding her back.

A kind home where she will be showered with love and given the opportunity to enjoy herself with people who will show her that life can be lots of fun is just what this little dog needs.

From the size of her feet, we would presume Macy will grow to be large sized dog once she is an adult.

She is currently at the Australian Canine Training Centre. Check out this video:

She’s an attractive girl with a angelic face and pretty spotted markings.

Once out of the kennel, she was more comfortable just laying in the grass rather than anything else. Content to sit but looking a little afraid, this shy, timid little dog wants to enjoy all that life has to offer but simply needs to be shown how.

Macy gets quite upset when a collar and leash are put on her. It appears she has never been walked on leash and she needs more training to learn that this is not a form of torture and that she is safe and it will be fine. She does settle once it’s on, but she has little understanding of walking on leash and needs further exposure to ensure she is comfortable with this and grows to be a easy to manage adult dog.

Shy and submissive, Macy wants so dearly to be loved and to be as happy as the other dogs around her but she’s just not sure who to trust and how to become a relaxed, happy girl.

Macy’s new family need to be very patient, understanding and give Macy the training she needs to learn by means of positive reinforcement and to be made feel comfortable and relaxed in her new home environment.

Macy has the potential to be a loving, well mannered and obedient adult dog. All she needs is a family willing to help her with her current timid, shy state and bring her out of her shell. You can see in her eyes, Macy wants to be your friend and adores affection; she’s just a little afraid, probably due to a less than perfect start to life.

If you have the patience, time and ability to provide Macy with a loving, quiet home where she will be allowed to blossom into a loving adult dog, then Macy may have found her forever family.
