About Pebbles (On Hold pending adoption mid Sept)
Introducing Pebbles, female, Border Collie x Kelpie, 9 months old. Some dogs just completely melt your heart and Pebbles is that dog. She the most beautiful markings of any dog I’ve come across. She doesn't have a nasty bone in her body and loves being around people and other dogs.
Pebbles would be fantastic with another dog around the same size as she tends to overwhelm my two smaller dogs with her enthusiasm. Although once she calms down they all get along OK together. I don’t know how she would go with cats as she hasn’t been around them before. She is extremely energetic and needs lots of exercise or a forever home where she can “run run run” all day.
She would be better off not being with children under the age of 12 until she is trained how to greet people without jumping. She had been allowed to jump up for attention in her last home but I am working with a trainer to teach her that she gets rewarded for sitting nicely. The trainer was very impressed by how smart and attentive she is. Pebbles has excellent concentration and focus. She enjoys the interaction and challenge of training and would be a great dog for agility or obedience trials. She is clearly a very smart dog and a pleasure to train.
Pebbles travels well in the car. She is starting to walk very well on lead and when off lead comes back when she’s called. Pebbles is not a working dog but would be well suited to someone who would take her along on their daily run or take her to the beach or park where she could run off lead. It's beautiful to watch her joy.
Pebbles spends the day either inside or outside with me, but she sleeps inside at night. She is house trained. We have 4 ft high fences and even though she could jump them if she wanted to she hasn't tried. But she will need higher fences in her forever home just in case.
Pebbles would love to become your best friend and little shadow. She has so much love to give. Her perfect home would be with someone who is home some of the day as she loves attention, or with an active family. a home that already has another active dog would be highly desirable.
In return for a forever home, Pebbles will give you her unwavering love, loyalty and companionship and so much more. She is just AMAZING...we love her to bits and am sure you will too when you meet her.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
