About Pippet
Likes: - Her toys especially the rattle balls and scratching/activity post but she will also play with little bits of cardboard or anything she can find on the floor. She likes to find a sunny spot in the house and sit or sleep in it, loves food and cuddles.
Dislikes: - Like all cats, she hates being bathed, funnily enough though she doesn’t mind being in the shower but just hates being shampooed and hosed.
She can get startled if you walk into the room unexpectedly but it’s usually only for a split moment. She will cry until you play with her or find something for her to play with (she will also cry if she’s overtired, just like a baby!)
How she spends her day ;
Haha this is a good one! A day in the life of Miss Pippet consists of 6-7am wake to play and run around the house with our cat Missy
Then it’s breakfast time, some more playing, a little sleep which never lasts very long during the day (there’s too much excitement happening), more playing and then often a little sleep in the afternoon, some neighbourhood watch by stickybeaking out the front door or window, more play time and then dinner.
She loves a cuddle so at night she will often snuggle with my husband or myself while we watch tv, well that is until she spots something that looks interesting and good to play with and then it’s off to play again until she wears herself out completely when then comes back to fall asleep on the couch or in one of our laps.
Type of personality (good & bad)
- She has a great little character, although she’s a little ratbag at times she is generally very good.
- She is very gentle (with the exception of a little nibble on your fingers when she’s playful) and will let you know if she’s had enough of something, like cuddles for example by meowing (she definitely knows what she wants and when she wants it).
- She’s certainly not shy and is extremely inquisitive.
- She is going through a little chewing stage though, however Missy when through this stage when she was younger so I am sure that she will grow out of this.
Funny behaviours
Where do I begin… She makes me laugh all the time!
She is obsessed with anything that moves including her own shadow (or any shadow), her tail (as well as Missy and our dogs’ tail), The list is endless.
She loves to know that there is a human in the house with her but instead of coming to find me she will stand in one spot meowing until somebody goes to find her or until she can hear your voice. She often makes the cutest little grunting noises when she’s tired and when she runs or jumps up onto something.
Like any cat, it took her about a week to get used tomy other cat Missy, but now they are fantastic. Pippet loves being around Missy, they sleep together, groom each other, try to eat from the same food bowl, and most importantly play really well together.
She gets on very well with our Jack Russell cross, loves to play with his tail and tries to groom him, until he tells her off or runs away from her- quiet a hilarious thing to see.
Pippet would suit a couple, a young single lady or a family and preferably with another cat or dog as she doesn’t like to be by herself for too long. She would love someone that has the time to play with and spend time with her as she is very playful at the moment.
