About Leo (On Trial 9/8/13)
Hi, my name is Leo. I am a white scruffy Terrier X, 11 months old. I am looking for someone who likes long or short walks, cuddling up on the couch and just hanging out with me. But first, let me tell you a little about myself. I've come from a home that didn't know how to treat me very well but I am not letting that affect me and am ready to move on to a new forever home. I am told by my foster family that I am as cute as a button, very smart and quick to learn. As I'm still a pup, I am a high energy bundle of joy but am well-mannered and almost there with house training. I'm learning basic commands such as sit and wait.
I am just as happy bounding around the back yard as I am lying or sitting with you on the couch. I also love children and am very gentle with them. A the moment I love spending time with the 9 month old baby at my foster home and we sit together relaxing outside under the tree. I'm just an all-round Mr Nice Guy, my foster family say and I don't have an aggressive or mean bone in my body.
It is important for me to be with my family and so I am looking for someone who will include me into their lives and let me be inside, not just shut me outside. I would also love the company of another dog as I have so much fun playing with them. I do however, have a tendency to chase cats, not cause I don't like them, just more as a game but this does settle down once I get to know them.
I am really hoping to find him a loving home, and I promise I will be a wonderful companion to you!
For more information or to meet Leo please phone foster carer Sue on 02-4954-2234 or email docman4@bigpond.com . Leo is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Leo's $400 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
