About Flirt
Someone is going to be incredibly lucky to adopt our gorgeous Flirt. She is an adorably small kelpie, well suited to life almost anywhere from the country to the cappuccino belt.
When we first advertised Flirt we didn’t realise the photo we were using made her look HUGE when, in fact, she’s very petite. \ After receiving a number of confusing enquiries for a strong dog with potential working skills, we realised what was happening and have relaunched her to show exactly why we named her Flirt. This girl couldn’t be further from a worker! \ She smiles—all the time—and charms every person and dog she meets!
The benefit of Flirt having spent a few extra weeks in foster care is that her initial trauma from being dumped in a rural pound is long gone, and her clingy insecurity has been replaced with abundant joy and growing confidence. Her basic obedience is also now well set in. She is fully housetrained, knows how to sit, walks happily on a loose lead and has superb recall. She waits for her meals and needs little more than continued structure, exercise and love to reach her full potential.
Flirt has shown no chewing or destructive tendencies, and is happy to sleep (preferably inside) or relax on her own as long as she gets a reasonable opportunity to get out for a run with other dogs and/or humans each day. She is social, happy and will fit easily into almost any situation—including as an only dog—as long as she is involved in daily life. To be clear, both her size and personality mean she would not be suited to life as a protective tradie’s dog or a worker of any sort. She'll chase cows, but not in any useful way. She’s definitely a pet!
Flirt will be a wonderful companion for many years to come, so if you are looking for your newest and most adorable best friend, this is your girl!
