About Dexter (On Trial 5/8/13)
Schnauzer x, Male, 18 months old. Dexter is a gorgeous little man who loves nothing more than a snuggle on the lounge or playing zoomies with a friend in the backyard. He is a friendly young man who would be best suited as an inside dog with another dog to play with. Dexter is medium height with a slim build.
Dexter is fully toilet trained and can use a doggy door. He will need a variety of toys to keep him busy through the day if left alone. Dexter has a low shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep him comfortable and beautiful.
If you're looking for a smoochy soul mate who loves a walk and a cuddle on your lap then Dexter is your man! For more information or to meet Dexter please send a text message to Janet 0410 489 019. Dexter is in foster care in Thornton, NSW (near Maitland, 20 minutes north of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Dexter's $400 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
