About Kipper
A bit about me:
I am 10 years of age, although I don’t seem it. I have a fair bit of energy and I love to get out for a walk. I really love people very much even though I have unfortunately had my fair share of bad luck in life. It certainly isn’t my fault that at ten years of age I have found myself looking for a new home for the third time. I have probably had a few homes since this is my second time in foster care.
I was in what was meant to be my forever home for four years but housing issues meant that my adopted mum had to return me to care. It certainly wasn’t about anything that I did.
My foster family has had me to the vet and they had me treated for itchy skin which has cleared up. I had some yucky old and probably painful teeth out and a good scale in the clean. The vet noticed that I have had a broken leg at some stage in my past and there is some arthritis in that knee. I have medication for that so I am not in any discomfort. but it must have been a very painful experience for me as I am guarded about my back end!
I love company and greet everyone who comes to see me with a big tail wag. I don’t bark unless there is a reason, like someone is at the door. I am very agile in getting around the yard and move quickly for a senior boy.
My ideal home:
I need someone who wants some sweet affectionate company who will stand by me as I get older and give me some security. I can be outdoors in nice weather, and when you need me to be, but overall I am an inside boy who just wants to be near you or to hop up on your lap.
Suitability for children:
I am great with children and love their company, however considering my age I am better off with more mature people for the long-term. Visiting children over 7 years who understand dogs would be fine and I would enjoy that.
