Stewie *On Trial in His New Home*

*STEWIE IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES PLEASE* Loveable Stewie is one of two healthy, happy puppies who one of our wonderful committee members recently saved from being given away on Facebook then drove to Robinvale to collect. They were born in early May and both parents appear to be a mix of Jack Russell Terrier and Fox Terrier.

All of the pups have lovely, friendly natures and are used to being handled (cuddled!) by humans of all shapes and sizes. They get along well with their carers other small dogs just wanting to play or snuggle up when it’s time for a puppy snooze. All of them LOVE food, so hopefully this helps make training them a breeze!

Gorgeous Stewie is definitely the more outgoing of the 2 pups and is the first one to check out new visitors. He’s known affectionately to his carer and her daughters as the “knicker nicka” as he likes to steal their underwear from the laundry when they forget to put the washing basket up out of his reach! He’s a busy little investigator who enjoys exploring the backyard with his brother, Roddy, but he’s also happy to lie quietly with you while you watch tv; he’s a bit of a snuggle pot. Stewie has thicker fur than Roddy which is soft and luxurious. \ The pups are really playful together, running rings around each other and having an absolute ball; they're terrific time wasters, you can watch them for hours on end! We wouldn't recommend either pup to a home with children younger than school age as they're quite bouncy and do have puppy needle teeth which hurt. As he’s only a young pup Stewie will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so he grows up to have lovely manners. Daily walks or runs around the backyard, secure fencing, chicken necks to chew on and toys to play with will make this little fella very happy indeed!

As Stewie is already picking up housetraining and sleeps inside at night he would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time as he’s used to having company.
