About Roddy *On Trial in His New Home*
*RODDY IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME* Cutie-pup Roddy is one of two healthy, happy puppies who one of our wonderful committee members recently saved from being given away on Facebook then drove to Robinvale to collect. They were born in early May and both parents appear to be a mix of Jack Russell Terrier and Fox Terrier.
Both pups have lovely, friendly natures and are used to being handled (cuddled!) by humans of all shapes and sizes. They get along well with their carers other small dogs just wanting to play or snuggle up when it’s time for a puppy snooze. All of them LOVE food, so hopefully this helps make training them a breeze!
Adorable Roddy is quite shy when you first meet him though warms up once he realises you're his friend. He's the first pup to learn to come to his name and he's also picking up sit quicker than his brother, Stewie, is. He's a bit of a snuggle-bunny who enjoys cuddles on the couch but he also likes hanging with his bro and doing crazy puppy stuff in the back yard! Roddy has a smoother short coat which is very shiny and his spotty markings make him look like a tiny cow! The pups are really playful together, running rings around each other and having an absolute ball; they're terrific time wasters, you can watch them for hours on end! We wouldn't recommend either pup to a home with children younger than school age as they're quite bouncy and do have puppy needle teeth which hurt. As he’s only a young pup Roddy will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so he grows up to have lovely manners. Daily walks or runs around the backyard, secure fencing, chicken necks to chew on and toys to play with will make this little fella very happy indeed!

As Roddy is already picking up housetraining and sleeps inside at night he would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time as he’s used to having company.

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
