About Puppy Madeline (On Tiral 10/8/13)
Madeline is a 12 week old Jack Russell x Mini Foxy. She is very tiny, only 1.6kgs. She is a very affectionate little girl who will sit with you for as long as you like. When she came into rescue she was only 4 weeks old and weighed 350 grams. She has quadrupled in weight and is very healthy but will always be a very petite dog.
Madeline is definitely an inside dog. She will have brief periods of play outside with the other dogs but mostly she likes to be inside with people. She really feels the cold and needs to wear a sweater day and night during the cooler months. She sleeps inside in her own soft bed surrounded by her favourite cuddly toys.
All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training. Her foster carer has started housetraining and Madeline is doing well. She will use puppy pads or newspaper when she's not taken outside.
Madeline has been well socialised with other dogs and is living with 7 of them from very small to very large. She would love to have another small, playful dog in her forever home. Due to Madeline's small size she's not suited to a home with children under 10 years old.
Madeline is now ready to find a special home to call her own for the rest of her life. If you can give Maddie all the love and gentleness that she deserves, please phone her foster carer Robyn on 02 4972 0804 or 0468 435 587 (she doesn't have email). Maddie is in foster care near Swansea, NSW (eastern side of Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle).
Madeline's $450 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
