About Jack (2) (On Trial 8/9/13)
Jack is an 18 month old Jack Russell x (possibly Basset hound) who is about as close to being the perfect dog as you can get. He is around 13 kilos, so big for a Jack Russell but small for a hound.
The things Jack loves are: playing ball, playing with people, fetching, walking, sitting on a friendly lap when he is allowed, playing with children (especially cricket), cuddles (only occasional kisses), getting a good scratch, but mostly ...being loved!!!!!
More positives: Jack doesn’t bark (except to answer the door), he is loyal, very friendly, doesn’t dig, obedient, a great passenger in the car and is loved by everybody who meets him. Jack is also a calm dog that doesn’t tear around going crazy. He is more than happy to sit at your feet and enjoy the quiet times as well. He is great company.
Negatives……..we can’t think of any!!!!!
Jack sleeps outside, with his comfy jacket on, but enjoys spending time inside with the family. He is extremely well behaved inside; he knows where to go to the toilet and never has any accidents.
Jack would suit a family who wants to have lots of fun with their dog, without getting one that is hyperactive!!! \ He would also be happy with a couple that can spend lots of time with him, or as a companion to a dog with a similar temperament.
For more information or to meet Jack please contact Karen on 02-4947-7703 or Jason on 0432 672 356 . Jack is in the Newcastle NSW area. He is available for adoption interstate.
Jack's $400 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
