About Tricky Woo and Emma
This perfect pair of dachshunds live on large acreage where they run around and play and always stay within the boundaries. Unfortunately a new neighbour has arrived and built something of a wildlife sanctuary along their border and as dachshunds will do, they have found the free range hens too much of a temptation. \ Putting up colour bond fences is not an option and the owners feel that the restrictions now placed on them are not fair to their dachshunds and they’re looking for a new home.
Both Emma 8 years old and Tricky Woo 4 years old are affectionate and cuddly dachshunds. Emma is there as your best friend the minute she meets you, Tricky Woo watches and waits while he susses you out and then he’s in there as your best friend too. Tricky is slightly more reserved with men. They have no issues with other dogs, are good out walking on the lead and have no problems with children either, indeed they’re exceptionally patient and good natured.
They do sleep outside but are frequently indoors for their cuddles and night time TV watching in front of the fire. There has never been a housetraining accident while they’re indoors but this will need to be taken into consideration and we feel a doggie door so they can access indoors and out would be perfect for their needs.
If you’re wondering where the name Tricky Woo came from he was a character in James Herriot’s books All Creatures Great and Small. The only way to get Emma to sit still for a photograph was to put her on a bale of hay and as you can see from her expression she's not too impressed.
We would like them to stay together if possible and they are both desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. $550 the pair. No chooks apply please!
