About Brian (On Trial 15/7/13)
Brian is a cuddly, male, Maltese x Shih Tzu, 1 to 2 years old. He is friendly and gentle with children and enjoys cuddles and lap time. He lets the children play dress ups with him and dance with him and is just happy for all the love and attention. My children think he's wonderful.
Brian is a quiet dog (not a barker) although he will bark at cats. He is in good health and has a lot of years to enjoy with the lucky person or family who adopt him.
*** See a video of Brian at http://youtu.be/GAsseoNcD_k
He enjoys going inside and outside during the day but prefers to be inside. He needs to be inside after dark and to sleep inside. He is fully house trained and walks well on a lead. As Brian has not been in contact with other dogs, I am unsure what his behaviour is like with them. I think if he were to live with another dog it should be another small one like him.
Brian has a non-shedding coat so he will need brushing (every two days), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep him comfortable and beautiful. Maltese x are a very affectionate and cuddly breed. Their sole purpose in life is to love their owners!
Brian is looking for a warm and friendly home where he can share a happy life.
For more information or to meet Brian please phone foster carer Rebecca on 0432-484-623. Brian is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW 2287 and is available for adoption interstate. Brian’s adoption fee is $450 which includes desexing, vaccination, treatment for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
