About Millie
Millie is a beautiful 3 year old small blue greyhound girl waiting for her forever home.
Millie came to us in March 2013 from the race track. She was rehomed a short time after but unfortunately, through no fault of her own, Millie was surrendered to us by her adoptive family after a change in their work circumstances. They simply had no time to meet this sweet dog’s needs which meant she had a lot of time alone, so it was agreed by all involved that it was best for her to come back into our adoption program. Because they were sad to see her go and loved Millie so much, she comes complete with her own luxury bed, blankets, toys and dog coats.
Millie is an gorgeous smaller sized blue girl with little white socks on all her feet. She has stunning brown, ‘melt the hardest heart’ eyes which she uses to her advantage whenever she can. Millie likes to think that all good things come in small packages and being on the petite size herself she would be perfect for someone with a smaller house, unit or apartment.
A quick 20 minute walk and this couch potato can be heard gently snoring in her bed. That said, she would do equally as well in a house with a backyard as she just loves zooming around at a million miles an hour.
This snuggly dog asks for nothing more than lots of love. She cannot wait to see you walk in the door after work and her tail goes thump thump at a million miles an hour.
She is extremely affectionate towards people and loves to be in your company. If you happen to be in another room in the house, Millie will seek you out and lie down next to you just because she likes to be near by. She is currently living with a whippet but would be quite happy being an only dog, however she really loves having regular human company. Her previous owners taught her to keep of the furniture, but I suspect Millie does sneak in a comfy couch when no one is home.
Millie raced for a while and can exhibit a prey drive so a strong hand is needed particularly if another dog is running around –she just wants to be part of the fun. However on her daily walks she has shown no interest whatsoever in the neighborhood cats and dogs barking through gates or fences don’t interest her at all. She is much too dignified to take any notice of them!
Millie is vaccinated, microchipped (#956000008239823) and spayed- she is a healthy little girl waiting for the right family to take her home.
