On Hold
About Puppy, Sizzle (On Trial 14/7/13)
-- --- On Hold while evaluating current inquiries ----
My name is Sizzle - Sausage Sizzle. I'm a dachshund x and my foster mummy and daddy say I'm the cutest little cheeky puppy ever. I'm only a tiny boy at 4 months old and so I have a lot of growing to do but with my short little legs. I will still be very small when I grow up (my foster mummy says good things come in small packages). \
I have a shiny jet black coat and little grey speckly patches on my front paws and chest and big perky ears. I absolutely love people, in particular children of all ages - when we go walking I have to say hello to every one I see. Because I'm so little I'm great with little kids as I can't accidently knock them over when we play. I live with 4 other dogs so I love to play with all dogs big and small, young and old. I also love cats as I live with 6 of them - sometimes I play too boisterously with them so they swot me to tell me off. After a hard day of play I love to snuggle on the lounge with my doggy friends and my foster mummy and daddy who say I'm a real cuddle bug.
I would love a furever home where I have kids and/or another dog to play with as I would get very lonely on my own as I love socialising. I need a home where I'll be inside in the warmth when my family is home as I have a very short coat so I get cold outside. I would also love a family who will take me for daily walks as I could walk forever and I love to explore the world on outings.

For more information or to meet Sizzle please phone foster carer Jo on 0427 695 104. Sizzle is in foster care near Gosford, NSW on the Central Coast and is available for adoption interstate.

Medical notes
Sizzle was surrendered to DRN with demodectic mange which is a curable skin condition caused by a low immune system from a rough start in life. This caused him to lose the hair on his face and front legs. Sizzle is on daily medication and will fully recover.. His hair has mostly grown back and will continue to thicken on his face over the coming months. Sizzle's new family will need to continue his twice daily Ivomec medication for a few more months and feed him a healthy, balanced diet to ensure his hair and skin recover which will keep him healthy and happy. DRN will provide more treatment details upon adoption application.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
