Savannah (On Trial 11/1/14)

Introducing Savannah! She is a 11 month old Siberian Husky x American Staffy. She is a total sweetheart who is truly beautifu, a very loving young girl. She is friendly to all people she meets, wagging her tail so hard her bum wiggles, and giving them what I call her "sooky staffy" face. She just wants your love and to love you back. She has a very pretty coat that is soft to touch like a plush toy!

Savannah is happiest when around you. She would love to lay by your feet (or on the couch if you let her) while you watch TV in the evenings. She is housetrained. She enjoys the company of other dogs but she can show some fear at first, then she just wants to play.

My own young dog was very patient with her and within 10 minutes there was no problem. It took Savannah and my other foster dog Red (a kelpie who is also available for adoption) a day to relax around each other. Within a few days they were all best friends that sleep, eat and play together. She gets along well with my 2 Chihuahua crosses but I wouldn't recommend a home with small dogs as she just doesn't understand that they are too small to play with her! I don't have children but the same can be assumed that she may accidentally knock small children over.

Savannah is a very smart and trainable dog and responds very well to positive reinforcement training. She knows basic commands and walks well on lead. Off lead she stays close and returns when called.

Savannah's perfect forever home would have: - a normal sized yard, a doggy friend, plenty of interaction with her owners, regular walks and park/beach visits. Some pluses would be: to be allowed inside, someone who is home most days. The perfect doggy companion for her would be one who is gentle and patient with her, and also happy to play. She is a joy to have around and will be an adoring, obedient and fun dog to her forever home.
