About Marla (On Trial 5/8/13)
Marla is an 18 month old female Rhodesian Ridgeback cross. She is an amazingly sweet girl who loves to run and play. She is housetrained, and knows how to sit and shake. Marla loves people and other dogs. She will curl up with you on the couch or in her dog bed. Marla is a quiet girl and rarely barks.
Marla came from a house where there were children, however my husband and I do not have children and so have not witnessed her around children.
She is currently living with my 3 medium/large dogs and gets along well with them. \ She seems to have a bit of separation anxiety when left alone outside. She would be best suited to a home with at least 1 other med/large dog or where someone is home most of the time.
She uses the doggy door to go in and out during the day and has not been left inside for long periods of time without having access to outside.
She was with one family from the time she was a puppy. The owners had to move due to work and were unable to secure a dog friendly property. Marla is a friendly, intelligent dog who will make someone very happy.
For more information or to meet Marla please phone foster carer Shelley on 0427 730 903. Marla is in foster care near Williamtown in Port Stephens, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Marla's $400 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
