About Phil
Phil has the heart of a lion and, once he gives it to you, it is without reservation. He is fearless and brave and now ready to go to a new home. Phil's favourite place in the world is with his human and he doesn't care what you are doing so will garden, go for gentle walks, investigate the fridge, watch a bit of telly on the couch and sleep quietly in his own bed beside you all night. He is tiny, but don't let 3kg of fury fool you as he is tough as boots because he had to be. Phil has had a rough time so deserves the very best of homes. Our best guess is that he may have been left outside and neglected with a group of other dogs where he had to compete for resources and, when he couldn't do that anymore because he had gotten old, was dumped at the Pound. For this reason, he would love to be an only dog and be the centre of his own universe for an active retired person who would like a little mate to go on adventures with (including the dog park). Due to his tiny size and age, Phil is not suitable for rehoming with children and will need an understanding home that accepts that he does have some behavioural issues associated with his previous life. However he has come so far in foster care that his training will continue without issue as Phil just wants to make you happy!
