About Puppy Balboa (On Trial 27/7/13)
Hello my name is Balboa. I am a 3 month old, male, German Shepherd x Boxer puppy. I will be a big boy as my paws are quite big. I am fluffy and love cuddles and enjoy playing with all the other dogs and with the children in my foster home. I am a big sook and will curl up on the lounge with you and also run and play with you. I am learning to walk on the lead but still have to get used to it.
I get a little scared around people and other animals when I first meet them but once I get to know you I will follow you anywhere. I have good food manners because my foster mummy has taught me to share. I enjoy a bone every now and then but I try to hide it from my mummy (but she always finds it).
I will need a secure yard with high fences. I need to be allowed inside when my family are home as it gets quite lonely out there and us dogs are social animals. I do not enjoy being left alone outside of a night time as I am still so little so I need to sleep inside.

If you would like any more info or to meet Balboa please call my foster mummy Kylie on 0470 704 513. Balboa is in foster care in East Maitland, NSW (northwest of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Balboa's $450 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
