About Puppy Lenny (On Trial 2/8/13)
Hi my name is Lenny and I'm an adorable, male, Mini Foxy x Shar-Pei, only 9 weeks old. I love to be cuddled and to sit on your lap when you're watching TV or at anytime you want. I'm sometimes very silly and playful, but that's what puppy's do. I'm too young to be fully toilet trained but when my foster mum puts me outside after a meal, I will go to the toilet, so I have started learning. I love my food and eat what you give me.
I love to play especially with my brother Cooper and sister Ella, who are also looking for forever homes. \ I would be fine being an only dog, but I would also be happy to have a new doggy friend if you already have one. My foster mum has cats and I get on just fine with them.
I'm an inside dog and sleep inside. My foster mum lets me outside to play and go to the toilet during the day, but I must be kept inside at night. I sleep in my own bed and am no trouble. I'm not allowed to be kept outside all the time because I'm only little and even when I get bigger I still have to be kept inside because that's the safest and most comfortable place for me.
I wouldn't be suitable with a family with children under the age of 7 as I have sharp puppy teeth and I wouldn't want to hurt your babies by accident. I would love to meet you and see if I can charm you into being my forever mum or dad.
-----
Lenny is too young to be left home alone all day. He would be best suited to a home where not everyone works all day or where there is another friendly dog to keep him company while the family are out.
PLEASE NOTE: Shar-Peis (even crosses) are not for first time dog owners. Owners need to make a commitment to training and socialising puppies and will be rewarded with a loyal and affectionate friend.
For more information or to meet Lenny please phone foster carer Krystina on 0414-702-323 or email krystina_ws@hotmail.com . Lenny is in foster care near Charlestown, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle).
Lenny's $450 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
