About Alfie (On Trial 9/7/13)
Hi, my name's Alfie and I’m looking for a forever home. I’m 9 months old and probably have a bit of Dalmatian in me. I’m super social and absolutely love EVERYONE: kids, adults, dogs (big and small) and even cats!
My foster family has a cat who doesn’t seem to like me much. I leave him alone but remember to flash him a smile and a tail wag now and then; I’m sure he’ll come around eventually and one day we will be great friends.
I’m in heaven while in the company of a loving human. I’m not much of a barker and my foster family has even left me alone in the backyard a few times while they were out and I have always been a very good boy.
Given I’m only new to this awesome life indoors with loving people, I am still learning the house rules. I’m proving to be a fast learner though, especially when rewarded with treats and praise.
My foster family won’t let me sleep on their bed, but that’s okay because they’ve made me a comfy bed of my own next to them; I just love it! I am medium size now and probably won't get a lot bigger.
I’m not sure how to play ‘fetch the ball’ just yet but I REALLY hope my new family will teach me because I’m pretty sure I’ll become really good at it one day. I have plenty of energy but when my foster family slows down, I do too and just love a cuddle on the couch while they watch TV or read.
I’m a really lovely, special guy (if I may say so myself!) and hope I get to live with a fun, active family. In return, I promise to always be a great playmate, loyal companion and a friend forever.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
