About Handsome Sam the ladies man!
UPDATE:
We have had a lot of enquiries about Sam, but unfortunately none of their situations were suitable. Sam needs to be an only pet in a quiet environment. He is not suitable to live with small dogs, cats, chickens etc. He also needs a child free home as the noise and activity of children can scare him.
He is fine left alone while you are out at work-he is happy with his toys. He will be a loyal and loving companion. Sam needs secure six foot fences.

We can't believe Sam has been waiting for a year and 1/2 with no-one wanting to meet him! Sam is a very handsome five year old Australian cattle dog mix with a good-sized body and a big heart to match. With his fit, impressive frame and excellent musculature, you’ll always feel proud walking alongside this canine prince – who also happens to be good on a lead. Sam is one of those charmers who looks straight into your eyes, which means he is responsive, a vital trait if you are looking for a dog you can truly connect with.
What’s beautiful about Sam is that he’s so naturally loving, he’ll happy to slip into your routine as long as you make him feel included. You don’t have to keep Sam entertained as he loves his toys and isn’t needy. In fact, he likes nothing more than to mooch around with you and will sit quietly for some down time and TV. Sam loves all outings and is a no-fuss car traveller. He is intelligent and learns quickly with rewards.
Sam was very happy to have left the shelter and, according to his foster carer, Jill, he has really come into his own. Jill was touched by how gentle and attentive he was with her visiting elderly mother. She reckons he has a soft spot for the ladies and a mature-minded, quiet-living woman or relaxed couple would be his ideal human companions. Jill already knows she’s going to shed a tear when he leaves her because she knows that he is the most loyal, demonstrative and affectionate dog anyone will ever know. With her own dog, Jill is already spoken for but there’s nothing stopping you from coming forward to claim him, is there?
Big thanks to Hairypants Photography for the beautiful photos of Sam.
Adoption details
Advertisement on PetRescue. I talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. My emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
I arrange a meeting with the animal and If all goes well completion of paperwork and payment is done through my vet. The adopter gets a receipt from the vet surgery.
I keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
