About Sandy *On Trial in Her New Home*
*SANDY IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HER NEW HOME* Stunning Sandy is a healthy, happy puppy who was rescued by one of our wonderful SARG foster carers. She appears to be a sibling of 2 pups we recently saved from Robinvale pound, even coming from the same area, which makes her a rather bizarre mix as their mother is a Red/Blue Heeler “bitsa” while their father has Rottweiler and St Bernard in him, so this girl has obviously thrown towards the Red Heeler side of the mix – she is a real large breed Heinz 57 pup with lots of love to give! And just like one of her brother’s Sandy was born with less than half a tail which she can still wag like crazy when she’s excited!!!!!
Sandy has one of those gentle, laidback natures you so often find in larger breed puppies. She's loving and sweet and adores snuggling up with you. Sandy gets along well with her carers other dogs, both big and small, and she is used to being handled (cuddled!) by adults as well as children making her pretty much “bomb proof” – she’s even good with the household cats, their miniature horses, the chooks and isn’t at all fazed by their cute little mini pig who thinks he’s a dog anyway! Adorable Sandy LOVES food and isn’t fussy so this is helping her with learning the basics such as “sit” and “down”. As she already weighs about 10kgs and she’s not yet 4 months old we reckon she’ll be the size of a large Labrador once she finishes growing.
As Sandy is only a young pup she will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so she grows up to have lovely manners. Daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep Sandy stimulated are also a necessity so she doesn’t get bored and up to mischief.

As Sandy is already picking up housetraining and sleeps inside at night she would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on her own but only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while she’s a pup.

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed,
references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
