Tokyo

Tokyo is an incredibly sweet and loving dog that would do anything for a cuddle.

She’s a funny girl that will have you laughing at her funny prancey feet when she’s happy, or her desperate antics to get a cuddle (read: plonking herself flat on her back, all four feet in the air with tail wagging a million miles an hour!).

She can be exuberant in her greeting and is learning that jumping up to kiss you is not an appropriate way to say hello. She will need a family who will continue to teach her appropriate greeting behaviours and is best in a home with older children as she may be a bit too enthusiastic for the littlies.

She is learning how to walk nicely on a leash and responds very well to direction from a clear handler. She is not a hard dog to walk and as long as you reward her for nice leash skills and correct her if the lead gets a little tense she will fall in to line beautifully for the rest of the walk.

Tokyo is tolerant of other dogs and will play very nicely with a dog that she has gotten to know, but she isn’t fond of overly boisterous or rude dogs as they stress her out.

She is an absolute joy to train. She is very food and praise motivated and took to clicker training in an instant – learning new behaviours very quickly. She would be a great match for someone looking for an obedience dog or a dog they can teach lots of tricks to.

She loves to be with you at all times however she is learning to cope well in the backyard entertaining herself when she can’t have direct one-on-one time.

Tokyo has big soulful eyes that you can get lost in. She is a soft, loving girl that needs a family that will continue her obedience and independence training, and make her part of their family. She will reward you with her sweet, silly nature and the ultimate in devotion.
