About Billy (On Trial 31/8/13)
Billy is a handsome, happy 15 month old male cattle dog. He is mainly blue cattle dog with a touch of red on his legs. Billy is quite large for his breed, but has a very gentle nature. He loves to love and be loved. Billy will follow you around the house, lying under your feet if you stop. He loves to play ball outside for as long as you can. He is extremely gentle with children and will give you “Billy cuddles” when you sit on the lounge.
He and his fur brother love to romp inside and outside, and Billy would love a home with another dog, a daily walk, and to be allowed inside as part of the family. Like most working breeds he will need toys to keep him busy if left alone during the day.
Billy is learning his manners. He still has lots to learn, but is eager to please, and would make a great addition to an active family.
For more information or to meet Billy please phone foster carer Kathryn & David on 0414 449 740 or email davidshort@mysoul.com.au. Billy is in foster care in Newcastle NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Billy's $400 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
