About Tennyson (On Trial 14/7/13)
Tennyson is a 9 week old, male, Maltese x Staffy puppy. An uncommon combination that only makes him more special! He is much more Maltese than Staffy and will be a small dog. He is full of energy and loves to play. He likes to be where the action is and loves attention. He enjoys cuddles but soon wants to be off exploring again. He is getting along well with all the other dogs and cats and cats here, and of course he loves his sister Jemima who is also available for adoption.
Tennyson was no trouble to bath. He has a soft, fluffy coat which will need regular brushing and bathing and possibly occasional clipping. Tennyson is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home and after dusk, and to sleep inside.
Tennyson loves food and enjoys trying new things and investigating new things. He takes plenty of naps throughout the day yet still manages to sleep all night. We are just starting to housetrain him to use puppy training mats but of course he'll need more training. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Tennyson was born on 26/4/2013. He will probably grow up to be larger than a Maltese but smaller than a Staffy. He will be ready to go to his forever home in the 2nd week in July, so please come and meet him now and you can leave a deposit if you would like him to join your family.
For more information or to meet Tennyson or Jemima please phone foster carer Cheryl 0410 576 246 or 02 4009 1867 or email puppyfromchez@gmail.com . They are in foster care near Charlestown, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle).

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
