About Snookie and Pookie (on trial 23/8/13)
Snookie is a 2 year old male and Pookie is his 10 month old daughter .They are very close and fret without each other. They are Shih Tzu x Maltese and are on the larger side of small - weighing approx. 6.5k each.
They are the sweetest friendliest munchkins you could hope to meet. Snookie has settled down a bit but Pookie is still a very excitable young girl who likes to jump up at you. These two just love to play and wrestle and then have a sleep for awhile so they can get up and do it all again. They love to run around in the backyard and play chasings. They show no aggression and get on with other dogs.
They are both sooks and just love cuddles and hugs. They are inside dogs and have started sleeping on the bed with me and they love to snuggle up.
Pookie is pretty much house trained but Snookie is a work in progress. They would be fine around children although supervision would be required as they could topple over a toddler in their excitement
They are in need of a clip at the moment as they tend to get so grubby running around outside and will require regular grooming to keep their coats free of knots.
Snookie and Pookie are just wonderful dogs and would be terrific family pets.
If you think you could provide these two a loving and secure home for the rest of their lives please contact Lucyann on 0249735796
Their $850 adoption fee for the pair includes their desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
