About Narla
Narla is a loving, devoted, gentle guard dog who came into care in a really bad way with what remained of her litter of pups. Having now raised her babies, she is regaining some condition and is now "firing on all fours". She is a large but gentle soul who just loves company and although she is currently running in a smallish backyard with several small dogs, she doesn't know her own strength and bulk sometimes and for this reason I feel she would best suit a single dog household or as company for another large dog. Narla has not had much experience on a leash but does know sit and is very gentle taking treats from my hand. She has been through a lot and I would love her to see out her days with room to run and play. She does need some more training but will be a wonderful companion dog!
"Ideally a person that purchases a Bullmastiff should have a fenced in yard, and a person should not get a Bullmastiff unless he wants a dog to take in just like another member of the family, as the Bullmastiff responds best to this type of treatment.
As with many fairly large dogs, it’s best to start obedience training at an early age. The bullmastiff is quick to learn and his main desire is to please his master and praise coupled with firmness will give you a will disciplined dog if you are consistent in your application of both."
Remember the Bullmastiff is predominately a guard dog and will defend its master at all costs so please be responsible in choosing to give Narla her forever home.
