Tiona (On Trial 2/10/13)

Hi my name is Tiona and I'm a 12mth old, female, Bull Mastiff x. Tiona means princess and that is exactly what I am. The sweetest, gentlest princess and everybody I meet says "Awe, she's such a sweetheart." I love to snuggle and feel your touch.

I currently live with 4 other dogs of all sizes. At first I was afraid but soon I began to play. I prefer to play ever so gently and quietly. I would love a dog for a playmate so long as they show no aggression at all because aggression scares me.

I walk very well on a lead once going. I haven't shown any sign of wanting to jump fences because I'm just happy to be loved. I travel exceptionally well in the car once I'm in. I'm happy to just lie down and occasionally peek out the window. I think in time I'll come to trust you in this area as at first I hesitate and may need lifting or food assistance.

I will give you gentle kisses and ease up on your lap if allowed (well the front paws anyway) to let you know I love you. If I was allowed on the lounge I'd happily sit beside you with my head on your lap as I do with my foster grandmother. I am frightened of small children and will hide or pull away yet I have never shown aggression. For some reason they simply scare me as I am frightened of high pitched noise or kids toys that make loud sounds.

I have an extra gentle nature and quiet temperament. I don't really play with toys or balls. I need to be allowed indoors to be part of the family. You will hardly notice me and will try my best to behave.

I love to roll on the grass or the sand when at the beach. I've even been for runs in a big cow paddock which I absolutely loved with my other 4-legged foster brothers. Basically I call this letting my hair down and running free. But I do return when called.

Tiona's foster carers are amazed at just how sweet and adorable her nature is. She just wants to please. By far one of the most shy, gentle and loving dogs you'll ever meet. At 12mths old she's just a pup so don't let her size fool you. She makes the most affectionate, biggest teddy bear. The cutest thing is she'll go to talk to you and her mouth moves yet nothing comes out. You know then that she's so happy to see you! She does not bark yet rarely makes an adorable talking sound at feed time.

She loves adults so would make a loving companion to somebody home often or able to give her the time and affection she deserves. I haven't been tested with cats yet I am very gentle to a small terrier weighing only 8kg that often snuggles and plays with me.
