About Jock (On Trial 16/12/13)
Jock is an 10 yo, male, Jack Russell x. He is a lovely fellow, very tiny. He loves to snuggle and loves getting under a blanket to sleep. He likes to be with someone all the time if he can. He has no vices at all. He just likes to lay around and be loved.
Jock is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside. He's housetrained. He feels the cold and loves to sit in front of the heater to get warm. Little dogs like Jock often live to around 15 or 16 so he still has half his life ahead of him.
I do not think children would be a good idea even, though he is good with them. I would worry that because he is small and might get hurt by rough play.
Jock will make a wonderful friend and companion.
For more information or to meet Jock please phone foster carer Doug on 0418 629 853 or email jimmo1955@bigpond.com. Jock is in foster care in Carey Bay, NSW, (Lake Macquarie), and is available for adoption interstate.
Jock's adoption fee is only $200 because of his senior status and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
