About Gus (On Trial 13/12/13)
Gus is a 3yo Australian Cattle Dog. He is a fun, happy and lovable fellow. He gets on well with other dogs and loves people. He has fun with my young grandkids and enjoys playing with a ball or stick out in the backyard with them or just sniffing along behind them while they explore the garden. His best friend is my daughter's cattle dog. They play together so happily and energetically then flop down on the grass next to each other for a breather then they start all over again.
Gus enjoys going for a walk and is very good on the lead. He is such a friendly fellow and likes to greet anyone who crosses our path whether they are canine or human. He has a good appetite and is not fussy with his food. He particularly enjoys a raw bone to gnaw on. Gus is very good natured and responds well to training. He is well behaved and sleeps inside or outside but he prefers company and being 'part of the family' and coming inside.
Although Gus can be an energetic boy he is quite happy to sit out in the sunshine with me while I have a quiet coffee and read. He truly is a delight to have around and I love his cuddles and loving nature.
His previous owner died leaving Gus to find a new home. When a new one is found he will have a chance to bring lots of joy to another family.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
