Asher

Located in Fairfield West......A trap injured ginger boy stared into the lense of a volunteer photographer (Jo Lyons) - he was labeled on entry as 'scared, cannot handle'. Normally this would be an automatic death sentence for most impounded cats but the look in his eyes as he gazed into the camera indicated otherwise to us, so we took the chance on our gut feelings about this boy and rescued him.Pound staff were reported as saying " no-one could pay them enough money to handle that cat to do his micro-chipping!".

Well our suspicions were confirmed, and less than 12 hours later after exiting the pound into a foster carer's hands, Asher turned out to be a gentle, affectionate and friendly boy, who was just injured and terrified in the pound. Asher is now ready for adoption and hope to find a wonderful family and forever home. Asher is very sociable with other cats, fine with gentle children and has been into contact with respectful little dogs.
Due to the special case of this cat we only offer him to the best of indoor homes with the condition that if ever the adopter cannot keep him he returns to our care. rather than put him at risk of going back to the place where he nearly didn't make it out of and "Watch his back " as it were
