About Bambi (On Trial 29/6/13)
I would like to introduce Bambi. She is a delightful little pug cross, approximately 1 year old. She has the pug colouring, curly tail, and a cute under bite. I can't say anything bad about this little dog; she is as close to perfect as a dog can get. Since her arrival a week ago, I haven’t heard her bark once. \
At first she was shy and sat in her bed watching the goings on, but within a few hours she came for a cuddle and a pat and has been happy and friendly ever since. Though not a high energy dog, she is playful and enjoys a game of chasies around the house. Bambi also enjoys a walk and walks well on the lead. At the leash free area, she was intimidated by the larger dogs and stayed close. She has shown no signs of wanting to escape and is happy just being close to you. She is also obedient; stays and comes when asked.
Bambi and her 4 puppies, who are all bigger than her already, were surrendered to Dog Rescue by their owner and they're all looking forward to a better life now. Bambi would be a perfect dog for either a retired person or a family – she is gentle and tolerant with children. Bambi enjoys her food and is not a fussy eater. She is an inside/outside dog, and sleeps inside of a night. She is fully house trained and able to use a doggy door. During the night she has been sleeping peacefully on the lounge all night without a sound. In the morning she greets you, tail thumping with happiness. I am confident that Bambi will make some lucky family very happy.
If you are interested in meeting Bambi, please contact her foster carer, Rebecca by email to rosella52@bigpond.com . Bambi is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW 2289 and is available for adoption interstate. Her $400 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
