About Indi (On Hold pending adoption 29/6/13)
Indi is a 9 month old, male, pure bred cocker spaniel. He is a playful, loveable puppy who needs training and care. He enjoys fetching toys and is very treat motivated. He needs more training with "down", "stay" and other tricks but has "sit" down pat. He is a quiet yet, energetic puppy and is very gentle.
We always recommend puppy or dog training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training. Indi's gorgeous strawberry blonde coat needs to be brushed 2 or 3 times a week. For best appearance, his coat should be clipped or scissored around the face, ears, tail and feet every couple of months. Cocker spaniel's ear's need to be keep clean and dry.
Indi is currently used to being an outside dog, so he will need patience and training so he can learn to enjoy being inside where he can be a member of the family. In the mean time, he'll need a coat, and a kennel with a cushion and warm bedding. His kennel should be under cover of a veranda or in a garage. He needs someone who will spend time with him outside and take him for walks.
Indi was surrendered by his owner who unfortunately became very ill and could not provide Indi with the time and care he desperately needs.
Indi would very much suit a family environment as he loves kids of all ages and is so playful that he can keep up with kids.
For more information or to meet Indi please phone foster carer Bethany on 0421-023-326 or bethany1309@hotmail.com . Indi is in Medowie, NSW (20 minutes north of Newcastle).

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
