About Jeda (On Trial 24/6/13)
Jeda is a 4 to 6 year old female miniature dachshund. She is quite a little character. Jeda likes to be the boss over the other dogs and is a little stubborn in doing as she is told. She does however get on with other dogs but lets them know if they step on her toes, so to speak. She is vocal in letting her feelings be known.
Jeda is a very affectionate dog and loves cuddles. She loves to be picked up and rests her head on your shoulder. She is very much an indoor dog and sleeps in her doggy bed.She has a very short coat and feels the cold of winter. So does well wearing a jumper when out walking. Jeda is independent and enjoys playing with the other dogs and spending time outside.
Jeda doesn't require any grooming as her coat is very short. She has no trouble going up and down the stairs which I was concerned about because of her stubby legs. All in all a very easy dog to care for. Her only drawback is her strong focus toward her food, and everyone else's! She is very greedy and will eat everyone's dinners if given half the chance.
If you think you could provide Jeda a loving and secure home for the rest of her life please contact Lucyann on 02-4973-5796.
Jeda's $400 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
