Scampy

What can we say about gorgeous young Scampy that her photo doesn’t already tell you. Beautiful big eyes, lovely nature - just an all round happy girl!

Just past the puppy stage, Scampy has learnt her basic manners and will sit and stay on command. She is toilet trained. Scampy walks well on the lead but as a typical beagle, she can be a little single minded. Scampy responds well to training, especially if there is a food reward involved. Scampy will thrive in an environment where she has a strong but caring owner who will not be fooled by those big, pleading eyes and will provide positive boundaries & consistency. She is a sensitive little soul who responds well to lots of cuddles and love.

Scampy loves to curl up on your lap or at your feet and needs to become a part of the household and sleep inside at night. She is quite happy exploring the garden but needs to know where her family is when you are home.

Scampy is sociable with other dogs, although can be a little timid on initial meetings if it is a big dog. Once she has made friends though, she is quite happy to play. She has not been tested with cats in her current foster home, although we have been told that she is fascinated by chickens and will try to play with them! Ideally Scampy would suit a family home with someone who is home a lot or has doggy friends she can play with. She absolutely loves going for a walk every day.
