About Pugly (On Trial 21/6/13)
Pugly is a 2 yo, female, Pug x Mini Foxy. Pugly is a very sweet little girl who loves to play and be snuggled. She's always up for some fun. She loves to play tug with her squeaky elephant, play fetch with a small ball, and play chase with our small dog. She is excellent with children. She prefers male dogs to other females. She doesn't bother our galah.
Pugly doesn't bark a lot. She has a little basic obedience training and will sit and responds to her name. She needs more training with walking on a lead as she is unsure what to do and weaves a lot. She enjoys digging so it's good to provide her with a place she's allowed to dig such as a sand pit or clamshell pool with sand in it.
Pugly is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home and after dusk, and to sleep inside of course. She is housetrained and lets herself out when she needs to do her business. If you don't have a doggy door you will need to let her out regularly. She has my other dog for company when we go out.
Pugly would be best suited to a home where she would have a small male dog to play with, and if there were children to play with that would be even better. She loves to be one of the family and part of the action all the time.
For more information or to meet Pugly please phone foster carer Sharon on 0433 584 265. Pugly is in foster care near Maitland, NSW 2320 (30 minutes northwest of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Pugly's $400 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
