About Mary
She walks beside you on the lead, jumps in the car and sits quietly.
She is well socialised. We have taken her to the dog park at Sumsion Gardens and she is very friendly and gets along well with other dogs.
We also have our own eighteen month old Maltese Shitzu and they have become great mates. I feel Mary needs a home with grass as she has obviously been house trained to wee on grass and likes to lie on grass or dirt when the opportunity arises.
I do feel Mary would be best suited to someone who doesn’t have any other dogs, as she seems to like one on one with her carer best but she would also be fine with another small dog who likes to play but is not at her all the time (maybe a bit older).
She would be perfect for an elderly person who is looking for companionship as she is very well behaved and doesn’t run off (I call her my shadow).
When Mary first came to stay with us she was extremely skinny and dirty with long, thick, matted hair. We have been fattening her up and have had her groomed and she now looks like the beautiful little girl she is inside with a lovely gentle, sweet nature.
It baffles me as to how a dog like her becomes homeless.
